He was a very powerful character but he was a bit Manichean, one-sided: described only as bad. We have never seen him be kind to an animal, be a good friend, have any redeeming qualities which is quite unrealistic actually. Even the worst scum has a quality or two, I would have liked to see his, he couldn't just be racist, violent, mean, domineering... However his death saddened me because he didn't deserve that, he was, after all, a very young man, a victim of circumstances, reproducing his father's violence, not knowing how to do better, angry at everything. We all know people like that.

I think the biggest issue with Jojolands is that all of its characters are highly unlikable (IMHO) and it charges headfirst into love-it-or-hate subjects so frequently, it is almost statistically certain to turn off the reader at some point or another.
